Integrating efficient, state-of-the-art switchmoderectifier technology with streamlined plant controland monitoring, the high-performance GALAXYPower System GPS4804/8AP is ideally suited for -48Vdc medium capacity Battery plant applications.

The GPS4804/8AP provides power ranging from 100Ato 400A/800A in a half-height cabinet for mounting on topof VRLA batteries. Either a GALAXY VECTORcontroller or GALAXY MILLENNIUM controller,depending on system configuration, can be used tocontrol the GPS4804/8AP.

The system operates directly from commercialpower in 208/220/240Vac single-phase or 360/380/415Vac three-phase 4 wire at either 50Hz or 60Hz.

	SetupFor automated installation andsetup, the controller and rectifiers communicate via a digital interface.A newly added rectifierautomatically identifies itself to thecontroller by transmitting its typeand serial number, and thecontroller then sets the outputvoltage to a pre-established value.The digital interface automates theinstallation and setup process andeliminates the need to usepotentiometers to separately setthe output voltage.
